Kakaire, James: By studying cultures of these two ancient peoples, one can easily learn history of the environment without any scientific input.
The Jarawa and the Sentinelese: The Jarawa are primitive folks found in a forest in southern India while the Sentinelese are another primitive group found in the forbidden island of India. After watching these two short films in the links below, you will easily come to notice that the Jarawa are the same people as those on the forbidden Island of India.
The two groups that are separated by hundreds of kilometers of ocean water have the following in common:
- They look alike
- They have the same dress code
- Their navy units carry the same types of weapons (bows and arrows)
- Though the Jarawa have softened recently because of their interaction with people in India, they have been very hostile to anyone that tried to enter their land in the past. On the other hand, the Sentinelese are extremely hostile to anyone that tries to land on their island. This implies that the two groups have a common history of being attacked and probably massacred.
The fact that the Sentinelese live on an island yet they have no boats means that they have never had boats and have no knowledge of boats. Thus, they have always lived on the island and never migrated from anywhere to the island!
How did they get to the island then?
They were isolated by sea level rise. Many of them may have been inundated by see level rise. The Jarawa, the Sentinelese, the Aboriginals of Austria and Africans were all connected on one mass of land, and they could just walk from place to place. The land seem to have been divided up by rising sea level and this was recent.

The fact that the Jarawa and the Sentinelese freshly remember attacks on them, and are always equipped with bows and arrows, implies that sea level rose to current levels less than 2000 years ago. Did sea level stop rising? No, It is still rising but very gradually.
This third film gives some light on how water (oceans and rivers) inundates land and sometimes isolate some land forming islands with or without people. This however, is not the only way islands come into existence.

One way of proving this is by measuring sea level in various places between African, India, Indonesia and Australia. There are likelihoods of shallow areas that went under water not long ago.
